If you find yourself asking any of the following questions, then EnABLE Kids might be able to help.
My child has ADHD and does pretty well in school in terms of holding it together. By the time he gets home, his medication has worn off and he is literally bouncing off the walls! Is there anything I can do to turn the playroom into a sensory gym like at the OT clinic?
My child gets OT once a week at the clinic. His therapist gives us “homework” and recommends certain exercises and activities each week but I just can’t find the time or ways to incorporate them into our schedule.
My daughter is prone to outbursts when she is frustrated. I can see the anxiety building up sometimes but other times she just explodes. She has been taught how to calm down by her therapists but never uses those techniques in the moment. What can I do?
We have bought many fidget toys for our child but they just go to the wayside and he doesn’t play with them anymore. There are so many “sensory products” out there to buy! How can I make sure that I’m buying the right ones so my child actually uses them and doesn’t get bored?
My son has autism and his OT has a variety of swings that work for him. We can afford to buy one swing only and we’re not even sure if we have the space for it. What are our options?
